Well, she was fighting to do it.
That was one of the reasons why she wanted to do the movie.
It was a major scene for her.
Well, he ended up winning.
The scene was cut, and we had about three weeks of shooting left, and she basically turned against him.
And they didn't speak for three weeks.
And, in fact, when we were doing press, she didn't want to do press with him, and she didn't really want to be a part of the Patrick Swayze bandwagon at all.
Could you imagine?
She was cast first in Dirty Dancing.
Oh, yeah.
Her father was the incredible Joel Grey, which, you know, an incredible dancer.
She was cast first, and they spent weeks and weeks and weeks searching for Johnny Castle, the Patrick Swayze character.
It's Patrick Swayze.
Wow.
And that's just a testament to Patrick because, you know, he took lemons and made lemonade.
I watched that film.
My wife was shocked.
I had never seen it.
So she put it on.
And, you know, for an 80s movie, it's a damn good movie.
