I don't think it's a redemption.

But I think that what they did effectively do was... I mean, they gave him a moment where he's like, fuck it.
I'm just going to die here with my head held high.
Right?
Like, he had no idea the dragon was coming back.
So, I mean, that does give him like a character moment.
And they had several other moments through this where he's like, oh, you guys just think I'm a piece of shit.
Like, huh.
And I think they effectively demonstrated that he never really...
like, was his own man, and that's partially his own doing, of course, but it's also partially the system he grew up in.
And so he is kind of like, well, you know, maybe I can, you know, be someone else, at least in death, if not in life.
And they're trying to present him as like, hey, maybe this guy had potential.
Not that he's necessarily redeemed, or he's like a great guy now, or whatever.
Although I think, like, in the after the episode, they said some stuff I didn't necessarily agree with, but...
whatever.
I do think that it was fairly... They have to give him something to do, and if they just make him walk around half crippled and still being a complete piece of shit the whole time, that's not super great.
At least give him a moment where he can show bravery, if not goodness.
And I think they did that.
