But do you think Ormond is maybe overselling it?
Like, clearly Ulf buys it, so it doesn't matter, but...
Yeah, he's trying to say, I can put you kind of on par with me.
Like, hey, you can be one of my peers.
We can be bartering from a position of mutual strength, I think is what he's trying to say there, even though he doesn't believe that.
But he wants Ulf to believe it.
Well, I will say this.
Almost universally, they've made almost every character from the book less heinous.
And of course, the history of the maesters maybe is a little exaggerated, so there's room for that.
And I'm happy if they don't have the dragon seeds raping women and feeding them to their dragons at night.
I'd be happy if that's different.
So I don't mind them making some of these characters a little more palatable.
I think they've gone too far maybe in some instances there but it wouldn't surprise me if they kind of continue that trend I think I'm the only one but Ulf's annoyed me like this whole season honestly oh I mean he's like a shit burger but like he's kind of like to me he's like Homer Simpson on a dragon right now yeah that's true
he annoys me but he I find him less annoying than last season so I'm like more open yeah last season I thought that he was gonna go straight to straight to the dark place right away and maybe they just I could see the writers room just being like not having a huge value in in characters like that cartoonishly evil
But then again, they give us Ormond, who is kind of cartoonishly evil and is like the only good villain we've had so far.
So I don't know.
I guess that's a counterpoint to that.
