Someone might think they were getting away with something.
I'm not saying they do this, but someone could say merely talking about different theories that posit different zero graphic distributions can get you to
oh, the theory that has this human favoring zero graphic distribution is confirmed.
I haven't really put anything in new fundamental on the ground floor.
I've just mentioned the issue.
Once you see that a theory can be paired with a zero graphic distribution, that will solve your problem.
I agree with you that that does not work.
I think the only thing that works is if you make a very substantive philosophical commitment to
to certain predicaments being antecedently more plausible than others.
And the analog with anti-skeptical scenarios, I think, maps onto this well.
It's no answer to skepticism to just say, look, here's a theory.
It has a zero graphic distribution according to which the anti-skeptical hypotheses get high prior.
That doesn't get you unless you have the commitment.
That's the real one.
That's the rational one.
That's the right one.
And so you got to take that on.
Maybe one doesn't want to take it on.
I've gone back and forth on it myself.
But I think that's the only way it has a shot of helping at all.
