Because we already have three guys who are playing in college basketball and thus obviously not eligible for these 2027 high school rankings who are probably going to be projected near the top of that 2028 draft.
The most obvious one is Boomchay Boomchay.
Ed Duke, given what he just did on that FIBA team that Caden Daughtry was on.
He was the best player in that game.
You had C.J.
Rosser, who was first team.
He didn't have a particularly good EYBL season, but in FIBA, he was awesome.
You had Beckham Black, who was the starting point guard, who was second team in that FIBA event.
He's got a very good chance to hold on to the top spot following Marcus Spear's reclassification.
How that'll shake out, you'll know in 24 hours.
So you take...
Boomchay, you take Costa Rica, who was never playing domestically, so he wasn't in these rankings, and then you take Spears, and you say, okay, all three of those guys are going to college now.
They're going to have to play two years because they're not eligible until 2028.
So right off the bat, there's some star power that's missing.
But still, it's not a very good class, and I'll tell you where it is very limited is at the center position.
There is an extreme lack of depth of high major big men.
There's a lot of playmaking guards.
There's actually a pretty decent amount of undersized playmaking guards.
Caden Daughtry is not the only one.
Each circuit actually kind of had one of their own.
