Right.
I went from terror to hope.
Um and in that moment.
The second thing is when she landed the plane, she went row by row and checked in with every passenger.
And she said afterwards, It shocks me.
that the media made a bigger deal out of my stroll down the aisle to greet the passengers than what it took to land this crippled plane.
You know, and it shows us that although I think at the highest levels, like visionary exemplar really matter, um, but like it's our understanding of the people.
Like she could have landed the plane without getting the intercom, but she understood
That the people on the back
They don't know what she's doing and she's gotta communicate that.
Um and then the second thing is that like people are starved for someone who seems to care for them.
We could talk about Donald Trump for
ten hours.
Um, but the one thing and we could talk about how he doesn't care about anyone and he's a narcissist and he treats people badly, um, but he certainly convinced a group of people that he's looking out for them.
And so they feel like this person cares about them.
And so and that's part of what that mentorship really is.
the the thing I've studied the longest in my career is something called perspective taking to really understand the perspectives of other people.
Like just as one example something that I've explored is how um this is a good example of needing that perspective taking um when a leader says, I need to talk to you.
