Cause they just cannot help themselves from scratching and biting and making it worse.

And so, you know, part of life is thinking as leaders is um what are the cones that we need to put in place so that people go in the right direction?

So one chapter in my book is called um inspire an architects.

And what I mean by that is how as leaders do we create the environments where people are going to be most successful?

So let me just give you one, here's another great example.

This is not a study I did, but I love this study to death.

Is they did a study at Yale University trying to get undergraduates to get vaccinated for tetanus.

And at the time, only 3% of people were getting vaccinated.

And so they did an experiment with the psychology department where they sum the people

People were randomly signed to get a pamphlet that emphasized how horrible tetanus is.

Like what happens to your body?

Like pictures that just make you freaked out.

And here's the thing, they were very successful in freaking them out.

People reported their anxiety through the roof.

It did not motivate them to get the tetanus shop.

Here's the other condition they had.

One of the most simple ideas that you could ever imagine.

All they did was say, it's really important to get their tetanus.
