I have two thoughts on this. matched

The first one is I've I've been reading a bunch of research suggesting that the the easiest way to motivate effort is not pleasure, it's purpose. matched

Because often the act of putting effort into a task is a little unpleasant. matched

And so like trying to add joy is not that easy. matched

But reminding people that, you know, there's something of value at stake, I think, is is effective in a lot of ways. matched

I think the other thing I would say on this is, yeah, I start thinking about Robert Eisenberger's theory of learned industriousness. matched

And the basic aha from Eisenberger was that. matched

When we reward efforts. matched

Repeatedly, effort itself starts to take on secondary reward properties. matched

It's like a form of classical conditioning. matched
