But once you've settled into it, it's like, oh, I've lost my sense of gravity now.

I've lost my routine and you can know about that in theory but you can't know about it in practice, like what to do from here because that's uncertain.

Yeah, look, identity, it wasn't so much tied up in my job, but I knew that what I wanted to be able to do to raise a family was to be the primary earner.

You know, that's what me and Lara had decided.

You know, if we could afford it, she would like to be a full-time mum for as long as that was required.

And so then it was for me, all right, well, then that source of income has changed.

I've got to retool and figure that out.

That's a new puzzle to solve, which is a good challenge.

It's a ripping challenge at every interval.

There's been some really interesting points.

So I was in the music industry, born of technology, disrupted by it.

So the music industry has been decimated.

I couldn't go back, really.

Then same thing with television or radio.

It's like, well, the current is going the other way.

They're losing people, not taking them on.

So it was a challenge to figure out, but then in one that I couldn't speak to my history.

So I was going, okay, well, that's a pretty compelling challenge.

And I did really lock into that.
