My parents loved it, we stayed there for a year and a half and then we got our visa to Canada.
And once we got to Canada, I really didn't expect to be at any competitive level of baseball.
I had no idea what that would be like because Slovakia and Ireland are, like you said, not very big powerhouses for baseball.
And so once I got to Canada, I really hammered down on all those videos.
It started in Ireland, but I hammered down on all those videos trying to be as best as I can and kind of teach myself before I get to
be selected into a team and I thought I'd be playing in a house league or single A. Kevin Inch saw me at a winter camp in Alberta and he said, hey, how would you like to try out for AAA?
I was like, what?
Are you kidding me?
Going to AAA right away?
It's not something that would even cross my mind.
I was all excited and stoked for that.
Um, yeah, it's, it's an incredible journey.
I'm, I'm incredibly grateful for my parents.
Um, it's not easy moving a whole family across the, across the ocean.
And, um, yeah, they, they did a lot for us, for me and my, and my little sister and my other sister as well.
And, um, yeah.
Like how, where, how?
There were some baseballs thrown, yeah.
There were some ball pit balls that were thrown as well.
But it was basically the day one of grade one.
