There were tryouts for a bunch of different things for after school activities and baseball was one of them.

And it was just hitting a ball off a tee and hitting...
It wasn't even a ball.
It was like a ball pit ball.
But just to kind of get us involved.
And then we're playing catch and all this stuff.
And none of my friends really knew what we were doing.
But, yeah, and so we didn't really understand what baseball was.
But my family, we all kind of learned together.
And it was something that you couldn't have drawn up in a book.
For sure.

I was incredibly lucky to have the family and the support around me that I did growing up.
And they really made sure that I had all the things I needed.
And yeah, YouTube was a huge part for me in learning how to kind of catch up with the other kids that were overseas and hopefully give myself the best shot.
