But yet I think we all learned that Mike had more that he sacrificed when he was here in Denver.
Cam Johnson's been here.
He was awesome in Brooklyn, and his numbers were quite not as awesome.
And yet halfway through the year, I feel like this trade is even more of a win-win than I thought five, six months ago or whenever it was that it went down.
And I'm curious if you guys agree.
They certainly have for Peyton Watson, for example.
Right.
The depth part of this is a big deal.
But the truth is that the only depth piece that could not have been afforded to the Nuggets is Jonas Valanciunas.
The other two guys are minimums.
Jonas did not play during almost this entire stretch.
And so you wonder, maybe the Nuggets would have survived.
They just would have had...
MPJ, who ironically maybe would have been healthy, whereas Cam Johnson has also missed here.
And maybe Denver's actually even in a better spot if they didn't make this move.
I think the interesting question to ask, I agree.
I just think it's a win-win, and I do think a lot of the things you're saying, that at a certain point, the history, you are what the history makes you, and it's hard to break out.
You go to a different team, there is no history.
You get to be whatever you want.
I do think the Malone versus Adelman piece is big on this, and I think Adelman maybe could have been done different, but the baggage that was the ancestral memories might have been there.
