So that's the problem that you run into when you're out on the field compared to having some sort of script or not script.
You get prepped on the topics before and they tell you what we're talking about on air.
When you're out talking to people on the street, again, it's a game of whack-a-mole.
You're going to hear everything from conspiracies that were spread by Alex Jones in 2012 to conspiracies that were spread by Donald Trump in 2025.
It's pretty hard.

yeah i know that that's basically it i mean the iran topic is such a perfect microcosm of the split realities right now if you still believe this administration after they've lied to you everything from the timeline of this war to the impetus of this war then i'm sorry you can't be changed at this point but right now we need to continue pushing back we need to continue hammering home the fact that it's a failing war and the fact that americans didn't vote for this
It's brutal.
If you're talking politics all day on your show, the baseline expectation should be
that you're able to at least defend trump's policies these people cannot defend trump by the way the reason he had no answer is because there is no answer there's no matter indicator that's better right now it's like when i asked them this is the question that got the blow up on cnn i asked them can you name one political concession we've gotten from iran like yeah sure we've sunk their navy that was 55 years old sure it's not a political concession no it's not sure we've killed kamenei and replaced him with his 36 year younger son we killed the 86 year old great but
And the IRGC has more influence there.
So people have been primed to understand that just because we're getting military victories in the Middle East doesn't actually mean we're getting political concessions.
We killed...
Saddam Hussein, right?
And everyone was celebrating.
We killed Saddam.
Bad guy's dead.
That turned into years and years of a grinding counterinsurgency and like a trillion dollars in debt.
With Afghanistan, it was another $8 trillion in debt and two decades of a grinding counterinsurgency.
So the point is, just because we get a military win and kill the bad guy doesn't mean we're translating that to political successes in any meaningful way.
