But I think that um that's how I associate them.
And I think that there's a way that doing that kind of domesticates them or takes some of the threat out of it or fetishizes it.
But I also think that these are the themes that the movie's playing with.
you know, actively and play I think is a a key word here.
You know, that word gets used a lot in the script, and I think in talking about it, that idea of play or or playfulness, I think, is is important.
Not that play can't be serious, right?
But this is a playful homage.
Very much.
Playing also means using something too.
It's playing, it's using, it's repurposing, you know, to some extent.
It's kind of like slamming not action figures, but maybe like Funko Pops together, you know, i i i in a way.
So yeah, it's an interesting thing to talk about.
But in terms of just slasher movies, do I like them?
I mean, who doesn't when they're done well?
And like pizza, even when they're not good, they're like mostly okay.

I think there's a lot of things that wouldn't hurt with this movie.
You know, I don't think it hurts to be uh generationally close to the filmmaker because not only do you get the older frames of reference, but maybe that's your point of view on what's happened.
