So like, you know, that helps.

I I don't think you have to love them.

I do think that I I know some people in my life, including my wife, who are anxious about watching 'cause they're like, it looks like there's a lot of blood in it.

And I'm like, there is and it's great, but it's not

Scary.

And that's not meant as a as a put down.

I do think that this is not really a scary

movie but also as a satire it's not like scary movie because it doesn't have it doesn't have contempt.

Or like just opportunism for what it's dealing with.

It's very specific.

And this is one of these times people misuse the word academic all the time.

It's like if you literally write about anything pop culturally in two sentences or more, people are like, you're an academic, you know.

But this movie is kind of academic, but but but but but but playfully so.

I think both the best thing you can say about it and maybe some of the persuasive criticism against it is

It's so academic that maybe it's cut off from those simple pleasures, the visceral pleasures you get from slasher movies.

But then again, I think it makes those pleasures its subject.

And I liked how it did it very much.

Well the well the arc of the films is interesting because you know, self-induced hallucination is this doc that

Deals with Slender Man.

I mean, that's the first real feature.
