Kato Flynn's Final Girl episode of Widow's Bay, which I don't know if you've watched the one where the one where she's being pursued, which is very miasma-ish too, where she's being pursued by like, I guess within the lore of the show, it's a serial killer, but it's also just a capital SK serial killer stand-in, and you know, all the things that happen, especially the idea in these movies that no one helps these women.
that no one believes them and that no one opens their door and no one lets them in and the cops are useless.
I mean I don't love Widows Bay, but that scene was was good.
And it was priceless when the thing was lying there dead and she just kept pointing the gun at it for like about five minutes in all these different rooms.
I thought that was that was really funny.
Um but yeah I mean Miasma's obviously playing with this idea of a
of an first of an it girl, you know, like the the touted filmmaker.
And then a kind of, you know, fr the the this this frustrated girl where it's like, you know, not virginal by choice.
You know, not not not virginal by choice.
There's a block.
And then the last ten, fifteen minutes, without being at all scary, restage that the the the sex, the death, the chase, the catharsis, the confrontation, the victory, but in a very different way than, you know, Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
It's funny you you mentioned that as an early final girl.
You see, that's a movie where she seems to be the final girl by default because it's not
a movie star and it's barely a character.
She just happens to not die.
But when she rides away on the back of that truck at the end, that's one of the greatest moments in any
movie, not just horror movie, I mean just period.
