Constant, inevitable, lifelong change. Constantly changing as a leader, being able to adapt to different circumstances, different times, different styles, different people. He says that change is at the very root of all commerce, all business. How does any business begin? Someone needed something and someone satisfied that need and got paid for it.

And then that person got complacent and somebody else said, I'm going to change things and give another way to satisfy that need. Commerce begins and competition follows. Change itself isn't necessarily good or bad. It's only the response to change that separates winners from losers. You know, I'm always curious what someone thought was going to be their life path in their early days. And then what some of the twists and turns were that caused it to be quite different than maybe what they expected.
