When it comes to marathon training, you're training your mind just as much as you're training your body.
And now I have a pretty good baseline of being able to distance run.
So when I was training for the ultra, it was more mindset.
For those three months leading up to the race, every single day I visualized what it would be like crossing that finish line.
And I thought, okay, 31 miles.
And then the two weeks leading up to it, I thought, this is going to be one of the best days of my life.
I'm going to do this.
I'm going to hit under five hours.
And then the few days leading up, Sunday's going to be one of the best days of my life.
It's going to be an unforgettable experience.
And then that morning I woke up and I thought, I'm going to do something really special today.
Not because I'm delusional, but because our lives, I think, oftentimes become the stories that we tell ourselves.
And we can view everything in terms of a problem or a possibility.
And I like to always choose the possibility group.
Thanks for having me.
And here we are.
Yes.
Yeah.
Just about two years old.
So it still feels like a baby, but we're growing fast, which has been really fun.
