It seems like you go to the grocery store and every package has the words healthy or nutritious or something like that.
Or I see vegan and then you turn it around, canola oil, seed oil.
I'm like, okay, cool.
Maybe that it's vegan.
But if you have all these seed oils or you see no seed oils, but then there's refined sugars or preservatives and it's just, there's so much deception out there.
I want to be able to pronounce every ingredient to know what it is.
Because if I can't pronounce it, how should my body know how to handle it?
So I like to see real whole foods.
I like to see not a laundry list of ingredients.
If it's a big, long paragraph, forget it.
That's a science experiment.
That's not a food product, in my opinion.
And then I look for it must be gluten-free, but also refined sugar-free.
Not terrible, no, but it lasted into my mid-20s, and that's when I gave up refined sugar because I thought there's no reason for me.
I'm active.
I eat somewhat healthy, healthy for the most part.
I also don't really drink alcohol, so I thought there was no reason I should have acne, and it was the refined sugar.
As soon as I gave that up, my skin cleared up.
Wow.
And at the time, I was seeing this really expensive dermatologist.
