Like this is not working for me.

I'm not going to run again or I'm resigning midterm.

That's a lot.

best thing you've seen um I just you know it's such a privilege to be able to meet with people and like have students in my office that come up and you know when I got elected I said I'm the first Chicana from Arizona and I cannot tell you how many young people come up to me and like I have a Chicana too I'm like yes that's what we need I hadn't heard that in such a long time yeah Chicana yeah it's important it's really like standing up and fighting for your people and that's what I feel like I've been taught to do so I'm glad to be able to do it here

You know, it was really disappointing because I didn't know him very well.

I didn't, you know, people were like, did you know this or that?

I'm like, I haven't been here six months.

I didn't know any of it.

I barely saw him because he was, you know, I think his, I mean, I do know as a person, he reached out to me when my dad passed away and said, hey, you doing all right?

And I know that he lost his mom.

And so I know that that was the one thing, but really no other conversation other than hi, bye.

So yeah.

It was really scary to think that that's been happening for a very long time and there are no safeguards for staff.

I think we have to take care of our people in a way that protects them.
