required them to give access to way too much information, but they did then launch it sort of eight weeks later on.

And what we asked JAWS and the Apple executives yesterday was, well, you know, we've been here before and yet you did find a way six weeks later to actually launch it.

So maybe you'll do the same for Siri AI.

And the answer that came back to us was no.

Those are totally different situations.

Siri AI is a much, much bigger, much more integrated part of what the iPhone is.

It would take us way longer.

We suggested a route to the European Commission that would take 18 months.

We haven't heard anything back from them, but that's the kind of piece of work that we're doing.

So I think you're right.

I think we are in a bit of an impasse here.

And

From a European and EU perspective, because you are in Brexit Britain, so you guys get all this, by the way.

Do you know what's also very, that's a really interesting insight.

What also strikes me is the dynamics, the geopolitical dynamics, if there are any.

And there's two points that I want to make about this.

The first is that when I asked Jaws about that exactly the way you framed it, the EU is positioned as this champion of privacy and security.

And are they now trying to say, is Apple now trying to say that

that actually Apple is the champion of private security and the EU is the body that wants to let bad guys in to do bad things with your data.

Their answer was very nuanced to that.
