What they said was that, no, no, hold on.
We said the European Commission.
And I said, well, yeah, but the European Commission is basically the civil service of the European Union, right?
And they said, yes, but just to be clear, we're talking about the European Commission here.
And then went on to expand on that.
And the impression I had, and I put it to them as well, but the impression I had was that they are singling out the European Commission almost like a rogue element within the EU that is unconnected to the people, the council, to the countries who represent the people that you're talking about, the users and the consumers.
That did strike me.
You know what?
You're 100% right.
And Jaz actually mentioned that.

just trying to work behind the scenes on this.

So we went to the European Commission with this before Christmas.
Now, for us to go to another body with plans for something we're gonna launch in six, seven months time, that's a big, big deal for Apple.
But let me ask you this.
It had occurred to some of us, the EU journalists who were here, when you talk about the granularity of the discussions and we talk about the dynamics around that, what do you say or think to the idea that
