But, you know, I don't think that there's anything necessarily wrong with it.
I think it's an exceedingly risky move for MSNBC hosts to do when the network is down in the ratings toilet after Trump's win.
And, you know, the audience is already very upset about
about it.
And then you have two of its flagship hosts going down and saying, oh, well, we have to find common ground with Trump.
You know, when I first saw it, it reminded me, I likened it to imagine if Fox News after 2020, when there was that massive viewer exodus of all these, the audience fleeing in droves because they called the election for Joe Biden.
Imagine if,
Sean Hannity announced on the air that night that he went and met with President-elect Joe Biden.
I mean, the ratings would have plummeted even further.
So that's what interests me about this, was that it was a very risky play for the audience.
The hair-on-fire alarmism about Trump
Turning into, oh, well, we didn't see eye to eye on these issues.
And we went down to meet with him.
And it's a bit of a head turn.
It was before my time at Mediaite, but I think I remember that.
Yeah, I think...
The thing that makes me a little bit sympathetic to to meeting with him is that, OK, they've warned that he was a danger, a threat to the country and democracy for the last couple of years.
But he's the president now.
He got elected.
Tens of millions of people voted for him.
