I think some people find a little bit silly or ridiculous the idea that the Trump administration would ever do something to punish two massively famous and influential cable news hosts.
But when you get down to the specifics of what Trump could do,

And Steve Bannon, who was his senior advisor in the first administration, has already called on Matt Gaetz, if he becomes attorney general, to crack down on MSNBC.
And there's all sorts of things from harassment all the way up to prosecution that a Justice Department can do to target a media organization.
