It's a doubleheader today, Bob.
This day in 1984, Wayne Gretzky wins the Hart and Art Ross trophies after his 205-point season and was selected to the 1984 first All-Star team.
Paul Coffey, Mark Messier, and Yari Curry, who all had over 100 points as well, were named to the second team.
And, of course, on June 4th last year, the Edmonton Oilers beat the Florida Panthers in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final.

Well, on this day in 2006, Jason Smith's first goal of the playoffs proved to be the game winner as the Oilers clawed back from 3-1 down to beat San Jose 6-3 in Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinal.
Smith had two assists and finished with three points, helping tie the series at two apiece.
