And if he's healthy, uh coming into training camp last year he wasn't.

He was banged up and and he and he was really bothered for the first six weeks to eight weeks of the season and he was having trouble getting going and he really missed out on what he needed to be doing in training camp and early in the season to get his legs and then when he got it, he took off.

Uh I expect him.

He he's been a lot more committed I think this summer.

Well I shouldn't say that he was never not committed, but he's healthy.

And he's coming into D C a little bit later, you know, making sure that he's in shape.

He got on the ice a little bit earlier this year and I expect him, without a doubt, uh, to be thirty plus goals.

And I really think it's time for the Caps to change the power play formation.

They brought in a new guy.

I don't know how effective he's gonna be, but I'd like to see Obi change to a different position on the power play to make the entire thing more effective and

Uh, I think it's there.

Just like the the Gretzky mark was there, just like eight hundred was there.

Um, I'm sure that he thinks about it every day.

And you know, that's what the great players do.

And then when their career's over they act like it didn't matter.

But when you watch Brett Hull on his podcast or you see Gretz and you know, we never get to see Mario do any uh podcasts or anything like that or hear him do it any.

But they think about numbers and that's they've always

been that.

They've always put up numbers, they dwell on them, and I believe that it it's on Obi's mind every single day.

And he puts pressure on himself to be the guy that scores and I think it'll be a little bit easier this year because you're not just gonna be able to focus on the big man.
