So I remember people going, What's Jacob Truebigan again?

I go, Jacob's getting eight, nine, ten million a year and he's gonna get a good deal and people go, No way, he's in the back.

I don't care.

There's money available, teams have to spend it.

But if they're serious for their fan base

They're gonna have to start putting competitive teams on the ice.

And you know, you just can't have a a young player putting up points.

So Ryan Leonard i is going to be a very good player.

He's got a lot to learn.

He still scored twenty one goals last year, up and down all season long, all over the place in the lineup.

And he really started to get going and and he got a lesson taught to him by Jacob Truba about being aware of who's on the ice and the high traffic areas.

And that was a huge lesson to him that he needed to learn.

Because he was somewhat laxadaisical with you know his on ice awareness what he could get away with at at Boston College, Boston University, whatever it was.

Uh you can't get away with that in the National Hockey League.

So not surprised by those contracts.

Benny Desharnay, like I told you, off the air many times.

That's the going rate for an older journeyman defenseman.

And when guys are gonna start making twenty two million, twenty three, twenty four million as your top dog, uh teams

aren't gonna let guys make the league minimum and still try to be a competitive hockey team.
