And anybody you talk to who's sort of close to business in the United States talks about this sort of being something that they see as somewhat troubling.
And then the issue of regulation issues.
And again, this is a real area of tension between the EU and the United States.
And whatever you think about the rights or wrongs of those situations, I mean, again, Europe has a particular perspective on this.
We have the presidency of the European Union.
And so it's difficult.
And the flip side of that, I mean, I think.
And I mean, the economist in me looking at the numbers all the time, I mean, the level of reliance in Ireland on American investment.
I mean, we talk continually about the corporation tax, but it's not just the corporation tax.
It's the number of incredibly well-paying jobs that are here as well.
It is a real dilemma.
Do we need to compromise our principles?
But, you know, I've said on occasions, this is one of the reasons I love the fact that I'm an economist and not a politician.
I don't have to make decisions like that.
And, you know, I mean, I'd be lying if I said I'm not torn on these.
I think these are terribly, terribly difficult issues.
