So she was diagnosed in the UK with multiple conditions.

And that would have been in and around the time her children were being removed from her care.

She would have been diagnosed as a narcissist.

Within that, there was a mention of a diagnosis of pathological lying.

Mm-hmm.

So that seems to be there and that would make sense because that is mixed in her character.

And we kind of unpacked that in the book because what I found really interesting and is one of the reasons why I wrote the book, a source gave me a box of documents and journals and discarded writings of Samantha Cooks from over the years.

And that provided a great insight into her mind because I spent a lot of time trying to figure out

was she lost in her lies and she didn't know what she was doing and became these characters and sort of didn't realize the damage she was causing and kind of believed it herself.

And I sort of grappled with that a lot.

But from seeing all her journals and her writings and all the documents, I don't believe that to be the case because for example, she was living down in Kerry in 2022 posing as Carrie Jade Williams.

She was doing exceptionally well and maybe we can unpack that character a bit more later.

But during that time, she was writing letters to the Irish welfare state looking for welfare benefits for having Huntington's disease, a terminal illness.

and in the same hand was writing letters as Samantha Cooks to her family in the UK, looking for, disputing her late father's estate.

So she held both identities at the same time.

She knew exactly what she was doing and she was able to switch between the two characters for what suited her best at the time.

So I don't believe she got lost in her identities.

I think it was a choice.

Well, she's been diagnosed with a condition where she does kind of invent illnesses.

She does seem to have that in her diagnosis.
