I got a tattoo of a canary because I've had this conversation with my middle boy so many times about these deeply feeling, you know, experiences where, you know, realize like there are some people in society whose role it is, unfortunately or fortunately for us,

To be the canary in the coal mine, when the pain in the energy body, the pain body grows to the point where it's like somebody has to raise a hand and go like, it's so great, I can't take it.

And then I think we also have archetypes in our society that are then the people that have to go out and fight that, people that have to go out and heal, people that have to feed, you know?

If you take anything to the extreme, you start to get a better sense of it, right?

If I reach a place of enlightenment where I've let go of all resentment and anger and contempt, which sounds fascinating, I would love that future for myself and for everybody.

Really, you achieve a state of like zen, almost like a monk.

Imagine like me becoming like a totally...

empty vessel for the now as a monk.

I just don't think society can run off nothing but monks.

And so I don't know where that leaves us, but I guess that's where the conflict lies for me, where it's like, that just doesn't seem like a realistic solution to society.
