So it could only have become more of a descent.
It's a fascinating thing.
It's an isolation.
Yeah.
And that's something that we've always seen in Tolkien's works as a negative for the most part, you know?
Exactly.
Yeah.
And even the skills, I mean, the simpler skills, but that puts me in mind of Legolas and Gimli getting to Minas Tirith and talking about how the old, there's some great stonework here and Gimli's like, yes, but the old stonework is better than the new.
That's right.
It's a recognition that over time, their skill, their actual ability to do things has lessened because as your knowledge lessens, so does your ability.
Right.
It's even sort of the fiction in one of my other hobbies, 40K.
The whole idea is that we're building these things off these standard template construction things that we could not design today.
And many of these technologies, if they stop working, we can't make it work again.
So they imbue it with religious things like the Omnissiah and all of this stuff.
It's really that sort of dark ages of the future feel.
Yeah.
And yeah, it's just a reminder that the knowledge has to be maintained.
And the knowledge has to be shared or it dies.
