And I was at the beginning of realizing that the path that I felt I was meant for was so different than the one I was taught to live.

And I knew it was going to be hard.

I knew it was going to be a shake up.

I knew it was going to scare a lot of people.

I knew I was going to probably be pretty isolated through it and have to do it on my own.

In reality, you're really not doing anything that crazy.

I know.

You know, when I step back on it, I'm like, it's really not that crazy.

But when you come from such a loving, protective family, they just want you to be safe and get into heaven.

And here's the thing that helped me too is like,

I grew up believing in a literal heaven and hell, like a hell where you burn for eternity.

If you don't do X, Y, and Z. Yeah.

Right.

And I was taught that as like a four or five, six year old kids, like reciting these verses about like burning and being tormented for eternity.

I'm like, don't you think that's a little traumatizing for like a five year old mind cannot comprehend that concept, even if it is true.

So, um, my parents believe that to their core, like,

And, you know, that's for them.

Like, that's great for them.

And if I truly did believe that and I felt like someone I loved was doing something that would send them to a place of endless torment, that's how I would react to.

I would try everything in my power to save them, to go, nope, pull you back over here.
