I I don't think so outside of the uh I don't think they did outside of the idea that age has its normal effects on guys.
And this is the sort of stuff, Dan, that you don't often hear about that comes along with acquiring a player that has that sort of mileage on his body.
This is Miles Garrett's tenth year in the NFL.
Um
He has been the focal point of the Browns defensive line for nine years when they trade him, right?
That means the amount of double teams, the amount of chips, the amount of game plans that were designed to stop him, like all of that mileage is on his body.
And this is why guys of that age generally don't get traded for this sort of return because these sorts of things can get these sorts of things can crop up.
You know, we look at some of the bigger names that have been traded, and I'm not talking about the quarterbacks outside of the quarterback position, but you know, guy guys like like Khalil Mack, you know, like Micah Parsons, those guys were moved in their mid twenties.
Those guys, there's still like a lot of meat left on the bone.
And so, you know, this I think was always the risk in taking on a player at 30 years old with nine years of mileage on his body going into year 10.
Um, so do I think
I don't think the Browns are surprised that something like this cropped up?
No.
But I don't think they viewed trading 'em away as trading some sort of damaged goods.

I'm most worried about the O and two Chargers, but that has as much to do with their schedule as anything else.
