They're clearly missing, you know, another elite scoring talent.

He doesn't have that many assets to acquire that.

Now he has to figure out what to do with the Kachuk.

Do you walk them into, you know, a year left in this contract?

Do they do what, you know, kind of what happened in Vancouver with Clint Hughes?

Like there's just so many things that he has to kind of figure out.

So I think,

Outside of Kachuk, for me, Staios is like the guy kind of in this story of the senator's future that has – whatever he does, those consequences are going to be felt for better or for worse with this franchise for a long, long time.

I think the way I would describe it was an unfortunate season.

Like nothing went right for them off the ice from there.

Trust me, it's been a long year.

So it like there was all this off ice drama.

Right.

And then just, you know, simply put,

they were never healthy at any point throughout the season, like fully healthy.

And obviously that happens to most teams, but they made the playoffs in March and April with missing Sanderson, Shabbat, then Clevin goes down, Nick Jensen goes down and literally was out from basically all of March and into the playoffs.

So they were missing four of their top six defensemen

for large parts of it and then even when guys came back it was like oh they're still missing two of their six like and then in the playoffs they lose sanderson zoob gets hurt in the first or the second period of the first game and he's such a great player they just never got gained traction and if you look at their analytics like they were sparkling despite all the injuries

And, you know, and they didn't get saves until basically the end.

And it's ironic, like, Allmark was unbelievable in the playoffs and was the reason why they had to go on this big kind of march to the playoffs.
