So we'll know more in about a month or two.
I've thought about it probably every year, last three, four, five years.
And the issue you have is it's just so hard to pull it off with the limits on 13 arms, right?
Eight-man bullpen.
You're going to go short in the bullpen, right?
You're going to have to go seven-man bullpen.
And if you can pull it off where you're going to get six starters that give you –
at least five, you know, six and so on.
You know, the problem with it is you get a two-inning start, a one-inning start, two and a third, and you're playing 18 in a row, 20 in a row, whatever it is, you're cooked at that point, right?
So I do think there's real value to it.
And you guys saw in 2024 when we let all of MLB and ERA, we used the off days, we moved guys back, we really protected guys and it worked well for us.
It was challenging because we were shuttling guys in and out and putting spot starters in.
And from a roster gymnastics standpoint, that's what we call it, it was tough.
You could only option guys five times a year.
Once you option them, they're down for two weeks.
You don't want to throw a game away.
So someone you call up to make that start, to build in that quote six man, and
If you don't have an off day, you still don't want to feel like you're throwing the game away and they're not going to... If they come up and you think they're only going to go two innings, you've torched your bullpen, right?
Then you have to option them and you're covered.
So it's very challenging with the limits of the roster.
