It's pretty crazy, and I think it's symptomatic of baseball in 2026, and not specifically the Cubs in 2026.
If you look at the top five teams when it comes to pitchers used in roster moves, when it comes to their rotation and their bullpen, two of the other teams that are in the top five, the Braves and the Dodgers, who are also in the playoff mix, are among the two of the top five teams in baseball, so...
It's happening to them too.
I think it's a much larger discussion with baseball and how we treat pitchers and how they maximize for certain things in their arsenal and the health effects that it comes to that.
That being said, you look at some of the recent Cubs injuries, the Edward Cabrera injury had nothing to do with that.
It was fluke.
The Hobie Milner injury had nothing to do with it.
It was acute appendicitis.
It's crazy.
That's what I mean.
It's like Fun Tiger just threw your arms up.
Yeah.
I mean, it's a combination of it's a symptomatic issue of the game, the way that it is in this era of baseball, and the fact that, like, just been some awful luck, some terrible luck.
Yeah, I mean, I think the Phillies are playing a really good brand of baseball right now.
They're a team that the Cubs faced them when they were going through some personnel changes with their manager, and they took care of business against the Phillies, which is great.
But if you look at that team on its surface, they have really good starting pitching.
Christopher Sanchez, Zach Wheeler, their lineup at its best is quite potent.
I mean, Kyle Schwarber already had 30 home runs.
Bryce Harper's had some really nice stretches.
They still have Trey Turner.
