So that was the subsequent call that he has with the Prime Minister of Israel after essentially calling around various senators to get them to support a letter that would support

the Prime Minister of Israel in pushing against his, at the time, pending arrest warrant.

I think that the arrest warrant had been issued by the prosecutor and it was now about to be looked at by a panel of judges.

And there was a judge that had resigned, another judge had come in.

So it was before it was actually issued, I believe.

And this was a letter to support the Prime Minister in what he felt was an unfair prosecution against him and others in Israel.

And I think what was very interesting was in the earlier call that I think we've just heard, the prime minister is really pushing for Democrats to be on this letter.

And what I thought was very interesting during this moment was that he was calling a Republican to help him with that, which I thought was quite interesting.

And then Senator Graham had spent some time trying to find these Democrats that would support this letter.

And then he has this conversation with the prime minister afterwards.

And a little color here.

The prime minister is actually chairing a at the time a security meeting in the midst of the Gaza war.

So he's actually being pulled out of this meeting to discuss this issue, which I think is pretty extraordinary.

Yeah.

And.

Senator Graham would help people that he was friendly with, but it also had to coincide and align with his own goals.

Senator Graham had been pushing for a very long time a deal with Saudi Arabia and Israel, some sort of normalization deal.

Prime Minister Netanyahu was not particularly interested in prioritizing that.

So in that conversation, Senator Graham was really, he had won over the Prime Minister.

He had helped him out, so now he expected something in return.
