After tonight's EPC review, staff will present EPC's recommendation on the proposed amendments along with other code amendments to other chapters of the city code to the city council at a public hearing tentatively scheduled for May 26th.
This will be followed by a second reading in early June.
If approved, it is anticipated the new updates would be effective in early July.
Additionally, these changes, if adopted, may precipitate text changes to various precise plans to ensure consistency with the zoning code.
Staff will undertake this effort as resources and workload allows.
So in conclusion, staff recommends that the EPC recommend to the City Council to adopt an ordinance amending the City Code Chapter 36 and finds that these amendments are not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act.

I had a question about the courtesy public notice that city council requested.
And I generally think it's a great idea.
And I had questions about how it was to be implemented.
I know some of the text says that comments could be received and could lead to project modifications.
