Isn't that crazy?
We got some rim demons.
That blows my mind.
Third overall pick, Vijay Edgecombe.
He's been on fire as of late, averaging 29 per game over his last four, including a 38-point game against the Kings.
Played really well against the Thunder.
Edgecombe is currently averaging for the season 16, 5, and 4.
Now, that might just sound like a basic stat line.
That's not exciting.
But if you look over the past decade, the only rookies to match that, 16, 5, and 4, Cooper Flagg, Cade Cunningham, Luka Doncic.
That's it.
Now, did I only go back a decade because the next name on the list is Micah Carter Williams?
Yeah, I did.
But the point remains that this sort of production from a rookie is rare.
And what really sticks out historically is his rebounding at his size.
5.7 per game for a 6'4 guard.
Just so impressive.
Pajemski was an outlier like that in his rookie season.
But before those two guys, you have to go back to guys like CP3, Steve Francis, and Jason Kidd to find shorter guards that rebounded like that.
The fourth overall pick, Conk Nipple.
