So Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters, both of which provide terminals for traders and other financial professionals, they offer some cryptocurrency data through their terminals.

There is a upstart Bloomberg competitor called Money.net, which just had an announcement a few days ago about how it's broadening out its cryptocurrency coverage.

ICE is going a bit beyond what those incumbents have already done, though.

Yeah.

I mean, they obviously have other considerations, like whether they feel comfortable trading something that some people have described as a fraud in a bubble.

But this will make it easier for them in terms of just their technical infrastructure to do the trading.

They may, for example, be able to analyze Bitcoin data next to data on gold or interest rates or FX in a more seamless way.

And that could also sort of move the process of mainstreaming Bitcoin further along.
