So there's that aspect as well.

And so we are providing a service, and I hope more people will take advantage of it.

It's been quite busy in the district.

I've attended a ribbon cutting for a horrible establishment that relocated from

Pembroke Road to Merrimar Parkway and was there with the Merrimar Pembroke Pines Chamber and members of the Commission of Merrimar.

Of course, Carnival was a huge success.

We certainly thank our partners here at the county for supporting that event.

We also attended, my staff and I attended the ribbon cutting for some pickleball courts in the City of Hollywood.

I want to thank Commissioner Biederman for inviting me to Driftwood Park for that event.

And I also did a City of Hollywood tour

again, mainly of my district, which is parts of State Road 7 and all the way through to 56.

And so we looked at the areas in terms of the

Johnson Street, there's a lot of businesses there in terms of restaurants and there's some work that's needed there in terms of pavements and so on.

So we're looking at projects there with the City of Hollywood, what they plan to do with that area and obviously the 441 corridor and all the improvements that are being made and some that do need to be made in that area.

We spoke about North Prairie.

We had a North Prairie familiarization day with members of the commission from City of Hollywood, Pembroke Pines, and Merrimar.

So I'd like to thank the staff at North Prairie for indulging us and allowing us to tour the facility and look at their operations there.

In addition to the safety study, there is going to be obviously a lead study that was requested and folks are looking forward to that.

The tree drive we just talked about, very well attended, very successful, and most folks are looking forward to the major event that takes place in March by the county, next March.
