Now that Spirit Airlines has folded, Frontier says it's launching new routes at airports like Orlando, Las Vegas and Dallas-Fort Worth where Spirit once operated.
It's also added 3 million seats in the last week to its scheduled flying between June and September.
The low-cost carrier says the goal is to add capacity into the market and pick up on demand left behind by Spirit.
But the move's considered a gamble as the airline industry juggles rising fuel costs.
In fact, larger U.S.
carriers, including United, Delta, and American, have all reduced capacity to protect margins.
