A lot of these families haven't been back out here to this field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, for a while because each time they come back, it's a reminder of what they lost that day.
But they know it's so important to reflect on those forty heroic people who did everything they could to fight back against the terrorists on Flight Ninety Three and lost their lives in that field during the crash.
We checked in with some of the family members who say it never gets easier.
Before they became known as the heroes of Flight 93, they were 40 people with a family, hopes, dreams, and so many of them were having people at home that thought they were gonna return after they landed on that plane.
They ranged from 20 years old to 79.
We want to just highlight some of the families as well and some of the victims.
Deora Bodley, she was the youngest, a college student with her whole life ahead of her.
Lauren Grandicollis was only thirty-eight and she was pregnant with her first child.
Leroy Homer is a dad.
He was, you know, an Air Force veteran, and he was the co-pilot with Flight 93 that day.
And Edward Felt was a forty one-year-old husband and father who called 911 on the plane.
Others called home from the plane learning America was under attack.
Some said their goodbyes, and then they fought back.
Flight ninety-three was only in the air for less than an hour.
It left New Jersey that morning heading to California before it crashed in the field.
It never reached its intended target in Washington, DC.
They believe the terrorists won't.

Their families, many of them who have not made the truck out here to rural Pennsylvania, back to that field in many years because it's just so painful, are here today as they honored them with a moment of silence and some other events.
