I didn't have the language.

Like when I first heard about emotions, it was like they were talking on the moon.

It was like I was speaking Latin and they're speaking French and it's a language I've never heard before.

And that first initial step of like there's something out there to be explored.

And I'm curious and I'm going to ask you in a minute around that another thing around the exploring it.

But what you spoke about then was then having the vocab, like the language to actually say I feel angry.

or sad or scared and then where is it in my body and what's the language like the narrative that's going along with how I feel it and if I was to use the word shapes or colors or describe it in my body and then once that starts to I guess come alive it's like I have a choice here what I do next is

there's a choice so no longer like when you were describing earlier when we were chatting it was like you were just acting it was like that well reacting whereas now there's this it's almost as you're talking it's like you're slowing it right down and opening it right up and getting curious and asking questions and like what is this and what does that then mean but then getting to a place that I have a choice

I think, Lenny, I think where I'm a little bit torn, and I'm going to share this with you, is I want to go back and ask some questions around what we've been talking about.

But there's part of me that also wants to hear more story around what happened next and next.

But I think I'm going to jump back in because I think there's some things that I wrote down as we were going through.

One of the things that I was curious about was when you were sharing that you'd gone away to these workshops, you'd started to learn and see and open up to this world that had been non-existent to you.

We don't change overnight, right?

And I can imagine it was a bit bumpy and I'm curious as to how people in your world have

responded and how that was, because for you, it sounds like something shifted that day.

But the people around you may not know that it shifted that day.

What was that like?

You mentioned then that

it's something you've worked on later in life around that deep listening and that, you know, you could be the life of the party, you could step up, you could own the space, you could absolutely jump in, but learning to sit back and to really listen.
