Tyler Robinson's attorneys indicated this was coming a couple of weeks ago.

A number of big headlines came out of today's filing by the defense, notably this sentence right here.

Quote, regarding the firearm evidence, the defense has been provided with an ATF bureau

of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives summary report, which indicates that the ATF was unable to identify the bullet recovered at autopsy to the rifle allegedly tied to Mr. Robinson.

The defense goes on to explain the prosecution hasn't said whether it plans to bring the bullet information up at the prelim, but the defense writes their own team just might.

Remember, the FBI still has its analysis.

Guthrie did release a new detail in the case, saying the back doors were propped open, which she said, quote, didn't make any sense.

And about the ransom notes, she said they were impossible to verify.

Guthrie says every night she wakes up in the middle of the night and imagines the terror her mother must have felt in the darkness when she was taken.

The Pima County Sheriff has now officially eliminated members of the Guthrie family as suspects.

They released a statement.

It reads entirely, quote, to be clear, the Guthrie family, to include all siblings and spouses, has been cleared as possible suspects in this case.

The family has been nothing but cooperative and gracious and are victims in this case.

To suggest otherwise is not only wrong, it is cruel.

The Guthrie family are victims, plain and simple.

Fox News reached out for more clarification over whether DNA helped clear the family.
