Iran's being absolutely obliterated. I'm Dave Anthony, Fox News. That's what President Trump just said on day 27 of Operation Epic Fury.
We're crushing their missiles and drone stockpiles, destroying their defense industrial base. We've wiped out their Navy completely, their Air Force completely. The president also just said at a cabinet meeting Iran wants this to end. They are begging to make a deal, not me. They're begging to make a deal. And anybody that saw what was happening over there would understand why they want to make a deal.
Israel's killed another Iranian military leader and Navy commander as Iran keeps counterattacking, launching more missiles into Israel and drones and missiles into its Gulf neighbor, the United Arab Emirates. The president also had a message at his cabinet meeting that's still ongoing for Democrats that he blames for the stalemate in Congress holding up homeland security funding.
They need to end the shutdown immediately or we'll have to take action. Some very drastic measures.
Democrats blame Republicans for not agreeing to immigration enforcement reform is holding up that funding. TSA agents still not paid aren't showing up, leading to long airport security lines again. Nicolas Maduro back in court this hour. The captured, now jailed, ex-leader of Venezuela trying to get the drug, weapons, and narco-terrorism case dismissed because...
The U.S. government is blocking the Venezuelan government from paying Maduro's legal fees. Now, the U.S. argues Maduro is not the legitimate president of Venezuela, and there are pre-existing sanctions against him that prevent state funds from being used for his legal defense.
That's Fox's Nate Foy outside the federal court in New York City. Maduro's wife, Celia Flores, also there facing similar charges. Yesterday off the Venezuelan coast, the U.S. military blew up yet another suspected drug trafficking boat, killing four more alleged narco terrorists on board. There's Olympics news. Ahead of the summer games in Los Angeles in 2028, the International Olympic Committee voted today to ban transgender athletes born male from competing in women's events. Well, President Trump keeps trying to work out an end to the conflict with Iran. Negotiations also continue trying to end Russia's war on Ukraine. Talks that keep frustrating Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky, who says the U.S. keeps demanding they give up the Donbass region.
Vladimir Putin insists that control of Donbass is an essential war aim, while Ukraine wants Western protection from any future Russian attack. President Zelensky says a Ukrainian withdrawal from Donbass would compromise his country's security and that of Europe. He feels that President Trump is putting much more pressure on him to agree a deal than he is on Russia. Jonathan Savage, Fox News.
And speaking of President Trump, there's an attempt to take his name off the recently rebranded Trump Kennedy Center in Washington.
Ohio House Democrat Joyce Beatty is asking a federal judge in D.C. to have President Trump's name taken off. What's legally the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Its newly appointed board voted last year to rebrand it the Donald J. Trump and the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts. Beatty is one of the members of the board appointed by Congress, not the president. But those members voting rights were taken away. President Trump wants to close the center in July for two years of renovations. There's a lawsuit over that. Chris Foster.
Fox News. It's day 54 of the search for Nancy Guthrie, believed kidnapped from her Arizona home. Her daughter, today's show host Savannah Guthrie, spoke again on the NBC show this morning.
Guthrie did release a new detail in the case, saying the back doors were propped open, which she said, quote, didn't make any sense.
