If you don't have the population on your side, no matter how powerful of an organization you are, your resources, your ability would be limited.

And there's a big mismatch in compared to what the regime has in terms of revolutionary guards.

They have all these repressive forces on their side.

So you do need that foundational support of the people and their opposition to the regime.

But as also the recent protests in January of this year demonstrated, that's not enough.

That's a necessary element, but not enough.

You need to have an organized force to elevate that in combination with the anger of the population to be able to confront the Revolutionary Guard, to fight them.

At the end of the day, that fight has to be fought by the people of Iran and no foreign attacks or anything like that

is gonna do the job for this one.

Of course, it will weaken the regime, but it wouldn't lead to change.

And that's why the regime has become increasingly angry and concerned recently, because they have realized and sensed that that's the direction that the society is going.

The society is increasingly looking for solutions of getting things into their hands.

You know, in the middle of the war in late March, the regime started executing political prisoners.

You know, which regime would do that in the middle of the war, turning against your own population?

But there was a reason for it.

They started first with executing the MEK members who were sentenced to death before that and

and started executing them in groups of two, three, six, and hoping that this will put a damp on the society, frighten the others.

It didn't.

It actually backfired.
