Um, there's a lot of wealthy students at that school, as you can imagine.
And it was also the first time that I
like learn anything about financial services.
Like my only exposure to financial services growing up was like my Chase High School checking account because I was working at Subway in high school and needed a checking account.
And so um
When I learned about how the industry works, how the financial markets work, how you can generate wealth beyond just the money you earn from your job, I was like, I wanna work in this ecosystem.
I wanna learn how to build.
Um wealth for myself, but also bring that knowledge back to my parents, bring that knowledge back to my community.
And so I actually started my career as an investor at some of the larger asset managers, spent the first few years of my career at Vanguard working on their active fixed income funds as an investor, and then kind of pivot to the private capital space.
is working at
um a private equity firm based in New York City, just understanding kind of the dynamics of
Private capital investing.
And during that time, I built my own wealth.
And that was something that I aspired to do.
I wanted financial security.
I wanted financial stability.
And I wanted a means to also help my family, um, send that money back home, send that information, knowledge back home.
And so I was doing that.
My older brother did the same exact thing actually.
He works still works in the industry.
