I've been to rallies uh around the state over the last couple of weeks where you you do see some people wearing Nazi symbolism.

And so there's a feeling that this party uh represents some of the worst.

years of Germany, um, the the the the war years of Germany and that's probably best summed up in their migration policy, uh wanting to immediately evict uh asylum seekers or migrants that they say are living here illegally, uh, and those that don't meet their criteria.

I think the question is is they know what will be the criteria that AFD have for foreigners to stay here.

And it could be very, very high.

They they favor n natur naturally born Germans.

Well, I've met him a few times in in recent weeks.

Charismatic is is certainly a sort of an apt description of him.

He's uh for those who don't know, he's he's young, I think thirty-five.

He's you know, he's a good looking, well turned out man, uh very smiley, always sort of has a big smile on his face and clearly charms his supporters.

And uh I've been at rallies where people have driven from all over Germany.

You know, I met a few people who've traveled four hundred kilometers

Just to stand in a queue for two hours to meet him, to have a photograph with him, to have him sign something of theirs.

You know, it's the kind of thing that a lot of politicians dream of, that kind of popularity.

Um, he's engaging, uh, he's happy to talk to the media.

Yesterday, when I saw him, he spent probably half an hour answering questions to the media outside a polling station.

And he's the sort of, you know, he's the poster boy at the moment.
