So I ended up as like an early teenager with a lot of pain, a lot of emotional pain.

My parents didn't really know how to help me navigate this.

I thought it was a massive weakness, but it's actually my superpower.

It allows me to help people, you know, do the things we're doing.

A lot of people with addictions or who fall into...

um, issues with really, uh, like unworthiness, they're empaths and highly sensitive and they take on everything in the world.

So if somebody, for instance, if you grew up in a really angry home and you're an empath and you can feel those things deeply, um, you're going to feel all of those emotions and actually take them on more.

So the biggest thing for empaths is boundaries.

You have to have boundaries for yourself, um,

But as a kid, I had none.

And so it led me to, you know, using substances as a teenager, making tons of bad decisions.

I was a 4.0 straight A student growing up and, you know, very smart, very intelligent and beautiful.

And then all of a sudden I'm like losing my life basically.

Um, and you know, I was in different juvenile centers, different rehabs, uh, managed to graduate still a year early with, uh, like a 4.0 GPA, um, while I was struggling through all of that.

And then at about 19, I was in really bad relationship, um, that got physical and, uh, he ended up almost taking my life.

And so after that, there was this point at 19 where I had like nothing and I lost all friends.

My family gave up on me.

And then I just decided that I still had the one thing that no one can take from me, which is my brain, my mindset, my intelligence.

And I was going to pour that into, you know, learning.

So I went back to college and basically just started building one step at a time.
